Teacher Appreciation Night - For VIcki!

On Tuesday night, Siloam Springs High School opened it's new PAC (Panther Activity Center). The new arena is a terrific new gym with large high definition video boards. The first athletic event in the PAC was a home volleyball game which featured teacher appreciation night. Before the varsity game, each player on the team chooses to recognize their favorite teacher. That teacher is invited to come to the Volleyball, to be introduced, have an appreciation letter read by the announcer that was written by player, and receive a gift from the player. The invited favorite teacher does not know until they are announced which player has selected them.

Tuesday night, a high school player picked VICKI as a their favorite teacher! They read a touching story of appreciation of what an impact that Vicki made on them when they were in elementary school. Cherissa, Max, Maggie and Alexander joined me on the court to received Vicki's recognition and gift. The player's letter was read and the volleyball player came to give us a gift. It was a touching moment. I was grateful for the night.
