Movie Night

I went to one movie alone after Vicki passed away and I have not been back since. It just wasn't fun going alone. Last night, Jon and Nikki invited me to go to dinner and a movie with them in Rogers. They asked what movie I wanted to see and it really didn't matter much to me. I was glad to be invited. It was a fun night going to a movie again with friends. Pretty nice stuff for a young couple to think about asking me to go with them last night.

The Lord does still have thoughtful people out there! Grateful you had a lovely evening with Christian friends.

Romans 11:3-5
Lord, THEY HAVE KILLED YOUR PROPHETS, THEY HAVE TORN DOWN YOUR ALTARS, AND I ALONE AM LEFT, AND THEY ARE SEEKING MY LIFE.”

But what is the divine response to him? “I HAVE KEPT for Myself SEVEN THOUSAND MEN WHO HAVE NOT BOWED THE KNEE TO BAAL.”

In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice. (NAS)

He said, "Lord, they have killed Your prophets. They have torn down Your altars. I'm the only one left. And they are trying to kill me." —(1 Kings 19:10,14)

How did God answer him? God said, "I have kept 7,000 people for myself. They have not bowed down to Baal." —(1 Kings 19:18)

Some are also faithful today. They have been chosen by God's grace. (NIRV)

God, they murdered Your prophets, they trashed Your altars; I'm the only one left and now they're after me!

And do you remember God's answer? "I still have seven thousand who haven't quit, seven thousand who are loyal to the finish."

It's the same today. There's a fiercely loyal minority still — not many, perhaps, but probably more than you think. (The Message)

Praise the Lord!

All my love always, and especially His!
