Weekend Finish

Vicki asked Kim and Dave if we could leave Branson early this morning to get back to church by 10:00 a.m. so Vicki could sing with the praise team. Vicki loves to do that and today was only the second time she has been able to do that since March. We left Branson at 7:15 a.m. and made it back early. In fact, we teased Kim and Dave that they helped us get to church earlier from Branson than we do from home.

Vicki was completely wiped out after church. Tyler and Meagan, Russell, Cherissa and Lucas's family along with Kim and Dave went to Mazzio's for lunch after church, but we dropped Vicki off immediately after church back at home for her to go to sleep. It is now 4:45 and she is still sleeping. Getting up early this morning after getting to bed late from fireworks last night has taken it out of Vicki. However, she really wanted to sing this morning.

Vicki's breaths in her sleep continue to be short and quick with an occasional big deep breath about every 30 seconds. She is having some back pain and she is trying to fight off throat pain again with magic mouth wash and Nexom. We hope that some of this stuff in the nuelasta shot effects, but she has been told to stop the RAD again to try to prevent another throat infection. New scans will be done this coming Thursday to tell us about her tumors.

The weekend was good for both of us. We enjoyed being with Kim and Dave. We also were glad they could come to church with us today. We will post pictures tomorrow.

This is a very intimate, touching blog post. Not moreso than others have been, really, but it just definitely impacts me. I don't know . . . maybe it's the look in Vicki's eyes while she's singing along with you telling us about her breathing habits during sleep.

I just want to say once more, thanks so much for taking time to share so very much of yourselves with us. May the incredible love of our Abba Father continue to minister to you both during these difficult times, and I know it will!

All my love always . . .
